Examination-free admission, one class of 40 students for one grade The Department of Tourism aims to impart knowledge and practical skills related to the tourism and catering industry, develop an attitude of integrity, diligence and enthusiasm, with the primary goal of cultivating operations and management talents for the industry of tourism and catering. The curriculum aims to strengthen the combination of professional catering knowledge with information literacy. Additional focus is placed on the cultivation of foreign languages, further studies in the tourism industry and professional abilities. Courses offered include Attractions Interpreting, Principles of Food & Beverage Operations, Tour Leader and Guide Practice, Home Stay Business Management and Operations, Natural Tourism Resources Introduction, Tour Planning and Design, International Etiquette, and Travel Agency Practice and Management. Students are expected to work and serve as managers in major hospitality and leisure industries in the future, they will be capable of administering effective management, promote industrial upgrading, development of the leisure industry, and improve the level of fellow practitioners.
